As a show of brute strength it may be more impressive (for the lifter) once or twice, but not for long. Lighter opponents can get repeated lifts, with greater variety, and for a much longer duration. You also still get a good workout. In my experience, its much more rewarding for both sides.
Besides, its not just a question of weight. Some guys are like lifting a sloshy bag of water – hard to hold on too. Try lifting that overhead with really long arms.
As someone who has overhead pressed 230lb at a bodyweight of 175lb, all I'm gonna say to you is just because you've had experiences go one way doesn't mean others can easily prove you wrong.
I'm in Orange county looking to get roughly lifted... Anyone think they can handle me 5 foot 5, 140 lbs Orally gifted if it comes to that, and I'm into being hazed d humbled
Definitely me! I'm in Southwest LA. I'm not sure if everyone read this (or if I posted it), but my studio is available every Thurs night 6-9:00. It can fit three people comfortably. Call if you wish, 213 949 1130.

1/05/2020 7:20 PMThe lighter you are the more lifts you will get. So try not to eat too many donuts.

That depends on the lifter. I much rather lift guys who have had "too many donuts" than someone who weighs nothing.

I never suggested otherwise. Everyone has their preference. The heavy weights are yours.
